Brad Beeson Selected to Represent Tulsa at 2009 NCAA Development ConferenceMarch 13, 2009
Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa sophomore men's golfer Brad Beeson will represent the Golden Hurricane at the 2009 NCAA Leadership Development Conference to be held May 24-27 at the Walt Disney World Coronado Spring Resort in Orlando, Florida. Beeson, a finance major from Aledo, Texas, was one of 600 student-athletes selected to participate in the conference. Other Tulsa student-athletes nominated were Jackie Lawrence (softball), who was selected as an alternate to attend the conference, Reid Singleton (football) and Tiffani Couisnard (women's basketball). Criteria for selection included the student-athlete's demonstrated ability and strong desire to be a leader and the student-athlete's potential to benefit significantly from a leadership development experience. The student-athletes participating in the conference will represent both genders and different ethnicities from fall, winter and spring sports in Divisions I, II and III.
