Tulsa's Inglis Named WAC's Golfer of the Week
April 17, 2001 Denver, Colorado - University of Tulsa's David Inglis has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for tournaments played April 9-15, as announced by the league office today. Inglis, a native of Roslin, Scotland, continued his impressive freshman campaign with his 10th top-20 finish of the season last week at the Intercollegiate held in Chapel Hill, N.C. In a field of 65 golfers, Inglis, who carries a 72.3 stroke average, turned in a 14th-place effort with rounds of 73-70-73 for an even-par 216 total. In 10 events this season, Inglis has been Tulsa's top finisher seven times. Inglis is ranked 37th in the most recent Golfstat Cup Rankings and is listed 43rd by Golfweek.
Tulsa's Inglis Named WAC's Golfer of the Week The award for Inglis marks the second time this season in which he has earned the WAC's weekly honor. He was selected as the WAC Golfer of the Week for the week of March 5-6. He was also named the WAC's Golfer of the Month in October.
