IRVING, Texas - The University of Tulsa freshman golfer Matt Mabrey was named to the Conference USA Men's Golf All-Freshman team, the league office announced today.

Mabrey played in eight tournaments as a true freshman and registered five top-20 performances, as four of those finishes have come in each of the last four events. Mabrey had a season-best fourth-place finish at the Louisiana Classics in March. He has a team-leading 73.2 stroke average through 24 rounds of golf with three sub-70 rounds.

Mabrey placed 13th individually at the Conference USA Championship last week.
