TULSA GOLF DUO OF McCRACKEN AND MABREY EARN C-USA HONORS

IRVING, Texas - University of Tulsa golfers Logan McCracken and Matt Mabrey earned all-Conference USA honors, it was announced today by the league office. McCracken was a first-team selection, while Mabrey earned second-team honors.
McCracken, a senior, led the Hurricane with a 72.4 stroke average in 33 rounds of golf and placed among the top-15 seven times in 11 tournaments. He had four top-five performances and captured individual medalist honors at the Eagle/Osprey Intercollegiate in November. McCracken also finished second in Tulsa's last two tournaments, including the River Landing Intercollegiate and the C-USA Championship.
A junior, Mabrey is coming off of winning medalist honors at the Conference USA Championships last week when he posted a two-shot victory over teammate McCracken. Mabrey carded rounds of 70-69-70 to claim a one-under par score of 209 to win the individual crown.
This season Mabrey has placed among the top-20 seven times and had three-top-10 performances, while carding a stroke average of 72.8 in 33 rounds. In 18 rounds this spring, Mabrey has had five sub-70 rounds.
Both McCracken and Mabrey have been selected to participate as individuals in the 2014 NCAA Men's Golf Columbia Regional, May 15-17, at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri.
