Irving, Texas - University of Tulsa men's golf student-athlete Chris Worrell was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today.

Worrell, a senior from Enid, Okla., turned in a career-best second-place performance at the Golfweek Conference Challenge this past week in a field of 75 individuals. He carded rounds of 71-67-71 for a seven-under par 209, finishing just two strokes behind the individual medalist.

Worrell's performance helped lead the Hurricane to a third-place finish at the season-opening tournament.
