Tulsa's Chris Noel Selected for All-American Golf Classic

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Chris Noel, a two-time letterwinner at The University of Tulsa, is one of the twenty-four collegiate golfers chosen to compete at the prestigious Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic, November 24-26, at the El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas.
The annual tournament brings together some of the top collegiate golfers in America. Past participants include David Duval (1991), Davis Love III (1984), and Tiger Woods (1995). The Golf Classic will have featured seventeen U.S. Amateur Champions, including 2002 champion Ricky Barnes who will play in this year's Classic. Last year's Golf Classic winner, Brad Heaven, returns to defend his title.
A junior, Noel graduated from Tulsa's Bishop Kelley High School. Noel has played in 26 of 31 collegiate tournaments since his freshman year and has eight top-20 finishes and two top-10 performances. So far this fall, he has finished in the top-25 in two of three tournaments.
Noel was the highest finisher for the Golden Hurricane at both the 2002 NCAA Central Regional, with a 12th-place performance, and a 17th-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
