Baton Rouge, La. - The Tulsa men's golf team carded identical rounds of five-under par 283 in the first two rounds to take a one-stroke lead at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate on Monday.

The Hurricane completed the first round in second-place, trailing Alabama-Birmingham by three strokes. However, in the day's second round, the Hurricane scored four shots better than UAB to take the one-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's final round.

Freshman David Inglis carded a four-under par 140 with identical rounds of 70 for fifth-place, just six strokes off the individual lead. Fellow freshmen Chris Noel and Logan Goettsch are in seventh and 10th place, respectively. Noel scored rounds of 70 and 71 for a three-under par 141, while Goettsch is one shot back at 142 after two rounds of 71.

Junior Kevin Henry carded rounds of 72 and 71 for 13th place overall, while sophomore Billy Lowry improved upon an early round score of 76 to a one-under par 71 in the second round.

Tulsa leads UAB by one stroke, while rounding out the top five teams are LSU (570), Augusta State (574) and Vanderbilt (575). LSU's Alan Morgan scored two rounds of 67 for a 10-under par 134 score, two strokes better than the second-place competitor, Craig Lile of Arkansas.

The tournament concludes on Wednesday.
