University of Tulsa freshman David Inglis was named the Western Athletic Conference October Player of the Month for men's golf, as announced today by the league office.

Inglis was Tulsa's top finisher in all three October tournamets. He scored a one-under par 212 at the Purina Classic to finish eighth in a field of 84. En route to finishing 13th in a field of 90, he carded a five-over par 221 at the Duke Golf Classic. At the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate, the Sctoland native fired his best consecutive three rounds with 70-70-71 for a five-under par 211 to take fifth place out of 78 competitors.

For the month, he helped the Hurricane to two top-six finishes and one 13th place finish. Inglis fired a low-round 67 and owned a 72.4 stroke average over 15 rounds during the fall season. In the latest Golfweek /Sagarin Men's Top 100 Individual Ratings, Inglis cracked the top-50 and is ranked 43rd nationally.
