09/21/2012 Tulsa Men's Soccer Players and Staff Participate in Make-A-Wish Send OffPresent Kameron with TU soccer gear A 2004 alumnus of Tulsa, Terry Boss returns for his first season as an assistant coach with the Golden Hurricane. Boss comes to Tulsa after playing the last three years with Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders (2009-12). Prior to that, he was with the MLS's New York Red Bulls (2008-09), as well as the United Soccer League's Charlotte Eagles (2005, 2008) and Puerto Rico Islanders (2006-07). He was also a member of the Puerto Rico National Team (2009-12). During his tenure with the Sounders, he started in eight of nine games played, logging 765 minutes in goal. He picked up 28 saves and three shutouts, and posted a 6-2-1 record. Before his MLS career, Boss earned USL-2 Goalkeeper of the Year honors while helping the Charlotte Eagles reach the USL-2 Championship match in 2008. During that season, Boss had a league-leading 11 wins and nine shutouts, and was ranked second with a 0.691 goals-against average. At Tulsa, Boss (2000-04) started in 20 of 23 games, logged 1,920 minutes in goal, picked up 96 saves and six shutouts, and earned a career 1.17 goals-against average. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance in 2004 from TU. Boss has a USSF B License and USSF Goalkeeping License. Boss, and his wife, Jessica, reside in Tulsa. |
