JUNIOR (2007) - Started 18 of 19 games played . . . posted eight goals and eight assists for 24 points . . . attempted 57 shots, 22 of which were on goal . . . scored the game-winner against Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Missouri State, UCF, UAB and South Carolina . . . was named TU's "Man of the Match" against Missouri State, Centenary, Marshall and UAB . . . named to the Level 3 Golden Hurricane Classic all-tournament team . . . selected to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Nov. 5 and picked up Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season honorable mention honors . . . garnered all-conference first team and C-USA all-tournament team accolades.
SOPHOMORE (2006) - Earned a starting assignment in 17 of 19 games . . . knocked in three goals and had six assists for 12 points . . . scored goals against #11 South Carolina, #24 Wisconsin-Milwaukee and UCF . . . his goal against the 11th-ranked Gamecocks gave TU a 1-0 victory . . . ranked sixth in C-USA for assists with six and 10th in the league for shots taken with 44 . . . named TU's "Man of the Match" against Kentucky.
FRESHMAN (2005) - Started in 12 of 20 games and was named to the Conference USA All-Freshmen team . . . produced three goals for six points . . . scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime against Northeastern State . . . scored his first collegiate goal at Kentucky . . . made the first appearance of his college career when he came off the bench against UMKC . . . named TU's "Man of the Match" against Northeastern State.
PRIOR TO TULSA - Was a two-year letterwinner at Coppell High School . . . led his high school team to a two-year record of 51-1-4 and to back-to-back district, area and region titles . . . helped CHS to a state championship as a junior and a state semifinal finish during his senior season . . . started every game and produced 12 goals and 17 assists for 41 points during his final season . . . was named to the all-district and all-area first team, and was the district MVP . . . missed all but six games as a junior due to injury, but played in the final six games, including the state title game when he scored one goal and recorded one assist for three points . . . played four seasons each with the Metro `86 and Solar `87 club teams.
PERSONAL - Majoring in exercise sports science . . . born February 23, 1987 . . . one of two sons of John and Cindy DeFreitas . . . named to Tulsa's Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was selected as a C-USA All-Academic Honoree as a junior.
