Tulsa Men's Soccer Team Chosen as Conference USA Preseason Favorite

Cristian Mata named as Preseason Offensive Player of the Year

TULSA - A two-year letterwinner . . . started in 38 of 40 games . . . had 24 goals and 13 assists for 61 points . . . left school following his sophomore season.

SOPHOMORE (2013) - Started in 19 of 20 games . . . had a team-leading 10 goals and 27 points, and was second with seven assists . . . also had a team-best 89 shots, 40 of which were on goal . . . had game-winning goals against SIU-Edwardsville, Charlotte and FAU . . . registered two goals against Hartwick, and added one goal against Ohio State, UMKC, Valparaiso, South Carolina and UAB . . . was second in points and shots, third in assists, fourth in goals and fifth in game-winners among Conference USA's best . . . was tabbed to the C-USA Preseason Team and was the C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year . . . was named as the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 9 . . . was selected to the All-C-USA first team . . . was tabbed as a College Soccer News, College Sports Madness and Soccer America Preseason All-American . . . was the College Sports Madness C-USA Offensive Player of the Year . . . was named as an NSCAA All-Midwest Region second team performer . . . was tabbed to the Soccer America All-American second team . . . was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on Sept. 10 . . . was voted to the Hurricane Classic and SMU Classic All-Tournament Teams, as was the MVP of the Hurricane Classic . . . was named TU's "Man of the Match" against SIU-Edwardsville, Hartwick, Charlotte, UAB and Charlotte.
