Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

TULSA - A three-year letterwinner and starter . . . has started in 48 of 59 career contests . . . has 14 goals and 13 assists for 41 points . . . a two-time all-Conference USA performer, earning second-team honors as a sophomore and first-team accolades his junior season.
JUNIOR (2012) - Started in all 21 games . . . tallied seven goals, including three game winners, and six assists for 20 points . . . ranked second in assists, and third in goals scored and points on the team . . . scored a goal against Loyola Marymount, Oakland, Marshall, Nebraska Omaha, UCF, FIU and South Florida . . . picked up an assist against UC Davis, South Carolina, UAB, UCF, FIU and San Diego . . . attempted 26 shots, 13 of which were on goal . . . went three-for-three on penalty kicks . . . was selected to the All-C-USA and College Sports Madness All-C-USA first teams . . . picked up NSCAA Midwest All-Region first team honors . . . was tabbed to the Top Drawer Soccer Top-100 list and TDS C-USA Top-20 list . . . was named to the SMU Classic All-Tournament team . . . was selected as TU's "Man of the Match" against Kentucky, FIU and South Florida.
SOPHOMORE (2011) - Started all 17 games . . . scored goals against Missouri State, Loyola Marymount, Dartmouth and Kentucky . . . his goal against the MSU Bears was a game-winner . . . picked up four assists . . . attempted 36 shots, 12 of which were on goal . . . was tabbed to the All-C-USA second team . . . was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Top-20 Players in C-USA list . . . was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on Sept. 6th . . . was named to both the Holiday Inn Tulsa City Center Hurricane Classic and SMU Classic All-Tournament teams . . . was selected as TU's "Man of the Match" against SIU-Edwardsville, Oakland and UCF.
FRESHMAN (2010) - Started 19 of 21 games . . . scored a goal against Kentucky, FIU and Kentucky in the C-USA Championship quarterfinals . . . earned an assist against Lipscomb, Western Illinois and FIU . . . attempted 37 shots, 17 of which were on goal . . . was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team . . . was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Top-100 Freshmen to Watch list . . . named to the SMU Classic All-Tournament team . . . selected as TU's "Man of the Match" against Lipscomb, Missouri State, Akron and Kentucky.
PRIOR TO TULSA - Played with the Tulsa Soccer Club '93 . . . won five state championships with the TSC '93 . . . earned a spot on the USYSA Region III team . . . a member of the 2010 Disney Soccer Showcase All-Stars team.
PERSONAL - An international business and Spanish major . . . born August 26, 1992 . . . son of Ana Padilla and the late Gustavo Mata . . . his brother, Cristian, is also on the team.
