A four-year letterwinner for TU from 1999-2002, Luke Meriwether concluded his second season in the collegiate coaching ranks as a graduate assistant coach for the Golden Hurricane in 2006.
In addition to his day-to-day duties, Meriwether's responsibilities included practice and gameday preparation, video coordinator, overseeing team travel and assisting with recruiting.
During the 2006 campaign, Meriwether assisted TU to 9-10 overall record and a semifinal appearance in the Conference USA Championship. In 2005, he helped TU register seven wins and a post a second straight appearance in the conference championship game.
As a midfielder at TU, he saw action in 19 career games and earned one starting assignment. He helped Tulsa register 38 victories during his career, including a 3-1 upset victory over previously undefeated and top-ranked Stanford in 2002. Off the field, Meriwether was a two-year member of the TU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, and was named to the Dean's List as a junior and senior.
A native of Liberty, Mo., Meriwether earned his finance degree from TU in 2003, his law degree from The University of Tulsa Law School in 2006.
