PRIOR TO TULSA - Originally from Berlin, Germany . . . came to the United States and prepped at Plano (Texas) West High School as a sophomore . . . graduated from Flatow School in Germany . . . during his senior year, he played for the Tasmania Berlin Club Team and chalked up 12 goals in 27 games and was an eight-time player of the game . . . as a junior, he scored three goals and was named the player of the game three times . . . in 2004, he played at Plano West and was the district Newcomer of the Year . . . was also named to the all-district squad while leading his team to a regional runner-up finish . . . was a two-time Dallas Morning News Athlete of the Week and was the top scorer in the district with 26 goals . . . played high school soccer for former Tulsa standout Jimmy Dowell . . . as a freshman, he played for the Union Berlin Club Team and scored 40 goals in 26 games . . . played club soccer in Texas for the Comets Blue `86 . . . also participated in volleyball, swimming and basketball in high school.
