TU Men's Soccer Team Ties Missouri State, 1-1

Tulsa will open the regular season at home, hosting the Great Western Plaza/Golden Hurricane Classic, on Friday, August 25th.  TU will take on Wisconsin-Milwaukee beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

Springfield, Mo. - The University of Tulsa men's soccer team ended exhibition play with a 1-1 tie against Missouri State on Saturday night at Plaster Field in Springfield, Mo.

The Bears' took an early lead with a one-yard goal from Yanik Joseph in the 18th minute, but TU freshman Jose Parada tied the game in the 70th minute from eight yards out. Junior Eric Burkholder picked up the assist.

The Golden Hurricane out-shot Missouri State on the night, 17-10, including a 10-3 advantage in the second half.
