Tulsa's 24th-ranked men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to eighth-ranked UCLA on Friday night at Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. TU fell to 2-2 on the season, while UCLA moved to 2-1-1 overall.

"We didn't play well in the beginning," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We didn't do a good job of holding the ball and our passing wasn't great, but in the second half we did a much better job. I thought we got up to them better, we closed down better and we did a better job combining. We created enough chances to even the game up, but we just didn't get a goal. They are a good team and it was a good game."

Max Estrada scored the game-winner as he punched in a goal in the 44th minute to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead at the break.

Stephen Roberson had a team-leading three shots, while Akeil Barrett had two attempts. Mark Pais logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up three saves.

UCLA had a 16-10 lead in shots, while TU had a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal, and the Bruins had a 5-2 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 9th against Loyola Marymount beginning at 4:00 pm Central in Los Angeles, Calif.
