Tulsa Men's Soccer Team Drops 3-0 Decision to Memphis

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Memphis today at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU fell to 4-9 on the season and 0-4 in Conference USA, while the Tigers moved to 8-3-1 overall and 2-2 in the league. Mark Sherrod scored all three goals for Memphis, including goals in the 16th, 23rd and 54th minutes. He now has a team-leading 14 goals on the season. Corey Albertson, who led the Tulsa attack with possession and passing, had one shot, while Stephen Roberson and Wayne Farmer both came in off the bench and had two shots. Michael Murray logged all 90 minutes in goal and had five saves. The Tigers had an 18-9 lead in shots, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal, but TU had a 4-2 lead in corner kicks. Tulsa will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19th against FIU. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Stadium. Scoring Summary Tulsa 0 0 - 0 Memphis 2 1 - 3
