Miami, Florida - Eric DeFreitas and Jose Parada each tallied a goal for the seventh-ranked Tulsa men's soccer team, giving the Golden Hurricane a 2-0 victory over FIU on Wednesday night at University Park in Miami, Florida. TU registered its 10th-straight victory to move to 12-3-1 on the season and 7-0 in Conference USA, while the Panthers fell to 2-10-2 overall and 1-5 in the league.

DeFreitas took the ball at the top of the box off a pass from Kyle Corrie and lobbed it over the keeper at the 7:27 mark to give the Golden Hurricane an early lead that Tulsa would carry into the break. With just 7:20 ticked off the clock in the second half, Jeovahnni Sandez passed the ball to Chris Taylor who crossed the ball to Parada who one-timed the ball into the back of the net.

TU out-shot FIU, 13-12, and had a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Tyrel Lacey logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up three saves for his fifth shutout of the season.

"We played pretty well," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We held the possession for a lot of the game and created a lot of good scoring opportunities. Tyrel did a good job in the net and came up big when we needed him."

The Golden Hurricane will host the final home regular-season contest against South Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 1. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
