Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa's 23rd-ranked men's soccer team shutout Bradley, 2-0, on Thursday night in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved 12-5-2 on the season, while Bradley concluded the season with an 11-8-3 overall record. The Golden Hurricane will take on Indiana on Sunday, Nov. 21st beginning at 5:00 p.m. Central at Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. In the second round.

"I thought our movement was really good off the ball and our strikers were disciplined tonight, which was key," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We possessed the ball very well all over the field and we did it in a way that created a lot of chances. Bradley kept fighting and dumped a lot of balls forward quickly, but we finished the game out well."

Freshman forward Kyle Cumings scored the game-winning goal at the 16:01 mark as he knocked in a goal from three yards out. Sophomore defender Jake Dobkins picked up the assist. Sixty-one minutes ticked off the clock before senior Ashley McInnes recorded his 11th goal of the season. He drilled in a pass from Blaine Gonsalves from 25 yards out.

McInnes had a team-best six shots, three of which were on goal, while Omar Mata had five attempts. Corey Albertson and Cumings each had three shots. Ray Clark logged all 90 minutes in goal, picked up three saves and earned his fourth shutout of the season.

TU outshot BU, 23-8, including an 11-3 lead in shots on goal, and took an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
