Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's soccer team announced the 2014 spring schedule, which features four of the five contests at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

"This is our best spring schedule for a number of reasons," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "First, we are playing five-straight weekends, which we've never done before. In the past it has not been consistent in terms of how we play in the fall, but playing in five back-to-back weeks help simulate a real season. It is also excellent in terms of the quality of competition, which will help us prepare for the fall, and finally we are playing later in the spring than before, which will give us a good amount of preparation time."

"I am excited about the spring. There will be great soccer in those five weeks so hopefully we can get our fans out to watch."

TU will open the spring campaign against Missouri State on March 28th at the Hurricane Stadium. The Bears fell in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship game and posted an 11-5-2 overall record this past fall.

SMU comes to town on April 5th in an American Athletic Conference preview. The Mustangs struggled last season, posting a 3-12-2 mark on the year.

TU will make the trip to St. Louis, Mo., to face Saint Louis on April 12th. The Billikens recorded a 14-5-2 overall record and fell in the Atlantic 10 Championship last season.

Tulsa returns home to host cross-town rival Oral Roberts on April 18th. The Golden Eagles were 6-8-4 a year ago and fell in the semifinals of the Summit League.

The Hurricane will close out the spring schedule against Creighton on April 27th. The Blue Jays lost in the Big East opening round, but advanced to the NCAA Championships and finished with a 9-9-2 record on the year. Creighton picked up a 2-0 win over Tulsa last fall.
