Tulsa Men's Soccer Team Signs Two More to National Letters-of-Intent

April 15, 2013

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Head Men's Soccer Coach Tom McIntosh announced two more signees for the 2013 freshman class, including Quinton Duncan and Cory Sauerwine, which adds to the four freshmen and one junior-transfer that signed in early February.

"Both Cory and Quinton are two more additions to what I think is a very strong recruiting class," McIntosh said.

Duncan, a 6-0 defender from Ontario, Canada, plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps Youth Academy, which is connected to the Vancouver Whitecaps MLS team. He is a right back that likes to go forward and attack, he has good size and speed, and is a good passer that can beat players on the dribble. Duncan is a member of the U18 Canadian National Team.

"Quinton already has a lot of experience as he has been with the residency program the last two years," McIntosh said. "He will make the transition to college fairly quickly and will compete for playing time immediately. Quinton is an attacking right back with the ability to move forward, which will help fill the void after the graduation of Matt Boullt."

A 5-7 midfielder from Oldsmar, Fla., Sauerwine is a member of the US Soccer Development Academy. He has good speed and technique, can beat players on the dribble, and can put in dangerous crosses.

"Cory is a true wide player who can get up and down the line," McIntosh said. "You can get quality service from Cory. He can beat people off the dribble, and we are looking forward to him playing a role out wide that we haven't had much depth at."
