Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa men's soccer Head Coach Tom McIntosh announced today the addition of Akeil Barrett to the 2012 roster.

"He is a player that is very good one-on-one," McIntosh said. "He can create chances for himself off the dribble, as well as for others, and we wanted to add another player that can beat people off the dribble. We are looking forward to having him in our program."

Barrett, a sophomore-transfer from Kingston, Jamaica, played his freshman season at Akron where he appeared in nine games and scored two goals.

Barrett scored 52 goals, including 15 game-winners, and added 37 assists as a four-year member of the Calabar High School soccer team. He tallied a school-best 19 goals to set a single-season record, and was a two-time CHS Player of the Year. Barrett played club soccer for Harbour View FC U-20's.
