The University of Tulsa men's and women's soccer teams will host a doubleheader this Friday at McAuliffe Field (6501 S. Garnett). The Hurricane women will host TCU at 4:45 p.m. with the TU men following at 7:35 p.m. against Drake. There is no admission to either event.

The TU women's team (5-3-1) opens its fifth season as a member of the Western Athletic Conference against the Horned Frogs (5-5-1). Tulsa is 2-1-1 in WAC openers and leads the overall series with TCU, 7-5-4. The Hurricane is led by sophomore Julie Twellman's 15 points on six goals and three assists.

Following a 30-minute warm-up period, the Tulsa men's team will open Missouri Valley Conference play for the first time in five years. TU spent the last four seasons as a member of the WAC. The Golden Hurricane leads the overall series with Drake, 5-4-1. The Bulldogs are 3-5 this season. Tulsa is 6-3 all-time in conference openers, including a perfect 5-0 mark in MVC games. Senior Eric Dominguez leads the Hurricane in scoring this season with seven goals and two assists for 16 points. Dominguez's 1.0 goals-per-game average ranks 17th nationally in this week's NCAA statistics.
