Tulsa, Okla. - - Tulsa's 12th-ranked men's soccer team will play host to fifth-ranked UAB on Saturday, October 19th beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, while all youth (under 8th grade) wearing a soccer jersey get in free. The game is also the men's soccer "Socc"toberfest, so the first 50 fans will receive a voucher for a free bratwurst from the concession stand.

TU ranks among the nation's top-50 teams in six categories so far this season, including 16th in total goals (24), 19th in scoring offense (2.0), 24th in total points (67), 26th in points per game (5.58), 37th in total assists (19) and 44th in assists per game (1.58).

Cristian Mata leads the way for the Golden Hurricane, scoring eight goals and adding six assists for 22 points. Akeil Barrett has tallied four goals, while Kyle Cumings, Omar Mata and Tony Rocha have each added three goals. Barrett has also posted six assists. Cody Mumma has played in five games for a total of 409:29 minutes in goal, 17 saves and two shutouts this year, while Jake McGuire has logged 710:57 in eight games for 24 saves and one shutout.

UAB has tallied a 9-2-1 overall record and a 3-1-1 mark in Conference USA, and are coming off a 1-0 win over FIU on Wednesday. The Blazers are led by Freddy Ruiz with nine goals, while Diego Navarrete has recorded six goals and a team-high six assists. Raphael Ville has logged over 1000 minutes in goal, had 37 saves and has earned four shutouts this season.



This will be the 14th meeting between Tulsa and UAB as TU has a 10-2-1 lead in the series. The Golden Hurricane earned two wins over the Blazers last year, including a 2-1 win in the regular season and a 1-0 double-overtime victory in the C-USA tournament.
