Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa men's soccer players Jake Dobkins and Abe Matamoros were named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII Team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Hurricane duo are now eligible for Academic All-America honors.

Dobkins, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., maintains a 3.966 GPA in management. He was named to the Tulsa President's List as a freshman, and to the Dean's List as a sophomore and junior, was a Conference USA Academic Medal Winner the past three years, and was named to the C-USA All-Academic Soccer Team as a junior. Dobkins also picked up Capital One Academic All-District VII first team accolades a year ago. Dobkins has started all 16 games this season, has one goal on the season and has helped TU post five shutouts this year.

A sophomore from Houston, Texas, Matamoros has a 4.0 GPA in economics, and was named to the Tulsa President's List and was a C-USA Academic Medal Winner as a freshman. Matamoros has started in 11 of 16 games, and has one goal and one assist for three points this season.
