Tulsa Earned Top Seed in Conference USA Men's Soccer Championship

Irving, Texas - The seventh-ranked Tulsa men's soccer team (13-3-2, 7-0-1 C-USA) earned its second consecutive Conference USA regular season title and will be the No. 1 seed in the 2008 C-USA Men's Soccer Championship, played Nov. 12-16 at SMU's Westcott Field in Dallas. TU is just the third team in league history to claim the regular season title with no league losses, as the Golden Hurricane tallied a 7-0-1 league mark. Tulsa won all seven of its contests in the month of October, and is unbeaten in 12 total games dating back to Sept. 19. The Golden Hurricane will take on No. 8 seed UAB (6-9-3, 2-5-1 C-USA) in the first-round match beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. TU and UAB squared off on Oct. 4th, with Tulsa picking up the 2-1 win in overtime in Birmingham. Eight teams advanced to the league championship, which begins Wednesday, Nov. 12 with first-round matches at Noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. CT.
