Irving, Texas - Five Tulsa players were named to the All-Conference USA Men's Soccer Teams, while two were tabbed to the All-Freshman Team, as announced today by the league office and voted on by the C-USA coaches.

Cristian Mata and Omar Mata both received first-team accolades, while Akeil Barrett was a second-team selection, and Bradley Bourgeois and Tony Rocha were named to the third team. Quinton Duncan and Jake McGuire picked up All-Freshman Team honors.

Cristian, a sophomore forward from Tulsa, Okla., has a team-best 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. He ranks first in shots (75) and points, and third in goals, assists and game-winning goals (3) among the league's best. Cristian is also ranked 14th in total points, 15th in points per game (1.53), 20th in total goals, 22nd in goals per game (0.59), 57th in total assists and 66th in assists per game (0.35) in the nation. He is a two-time first-team selection as he picked up the same honor a year ago. Cristian also earned C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors once earlier this season.

A senior midfielder from Tulsa, Okla., Omar has three goals and three assists for nine points. He has attempted 26 shots, 10 of which were on goal, and had one game-winning goal on the year. Omar was named to both the Hurricane Classic and SMU Classic all-tournament teams earlier this season, and has been named as TU's "Man of the Match" twice this year. This was Omar's third C-USA accolade as he was a first-team selection last year and a second-team honoree in 2011.



Barrett, a junior midfielder from Kingston, Jamaica, has tallied six goals and a team-best seven assists for 19 points. He has attempted 36 shots, 21 of which were on goal, and had one game-winner. Barrett ranks first in assists, sixth in points and eighth in goals among the league's best, and is 31st in total assists, 36th in assists per game (0.41), 64th in points per game (1.12) and 65th in total points in the nation. He has been tabbed as TU's "Man of the Match" three times this season.

A sophomore defender from Cypress, Texas, Bourgeois has helped Tulsa record six shutouts this season. He was named as the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week once this year, and has been selected as TU's "Man of the Match" four times. Bourgeois has attempted four shots, three of which were on goal.

Rocha, a junior midfielder from Spring, Texas, has recorded three goals for six points. He has attempted 36 shots, 14 of which were on goal, while being named as TU's "Man of the Match" twice.

A defender from Ontario, Canada, Duncan, has scored one goal for two points, and has attempted four shots, two of which were on goal. He has helped the Golden Hurricane record six shutouts on the year and was named TU's "Man of the Match" once.

McGuire, a goalkeeper from Chino Hills, Calif., has logged 890 minutes between the posts, picked up 32 saves and record two shutouts this season. He has a 1.31 goals-against average and a .711 saves percentage. McGuire ranks sixth in saves percentage, and eighth in saves and GAA among the league's best.
