Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa forward Cristian Mata was tabbed to the Top Drawer Soccer Freshmen Team of the Season, as announced today by the same publication.

Mata netted a team-best 14 goals, five of which were game-winners, and six assists for 34 points. He also attempted a team-high 66 shots, 39 of which were on goal, while starting 19-of-20 games this season.

With three games left of the NCAA Division I season, Mata ranks ninth in points per game (1.7), 12th in total points and goals per game (0.7), 13th in total goals, and 79th in total assists.

Mata was named as the Conference USA Freshman of the Year, was an All-C-USA first team and C-USA All-Freshman team selection, was a two-time C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honoree, was tabbed to the College Soccer News Team of the Week once, was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Top-100 Freshman List, and was a College Sports Madness Freshman of the Year and CSM All-C-USA First Team honoree.
