Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa junior Ashley McInnes was named to the Soccer America MVPs first team, as announced by the same publication. Soccer America MVPs were introduced in 1976 and honor the players who have the biggest impact on their team's success regardless of position. Beginning in 2007, Soccer America selected first and second teams.

A forward from Aberdeen, Scotland, McInnes started all 20 games played this year. He knocked in nine goals, including four game-winners, and earned eight assists for 26 points. McInnes ranks 33rd in the nation with 1.30 points per game, 63rd with .45 goals per game and 47th with .40 assists per game. He was named the Conference USA Most Valuable Player, and picked up first team all-conference and all-tournament team accolades.

McInnes has tallied 18 goals and 18 assists for 54 points, while starting 44 of 51 career contests.
