TULSA – A three-year letterwinner . . . has a career singles record of 53-33 and a doubles mark of 49-47 . . . ranks 10th among the school’s winningest singles players . . . his 23 singles victories in 2000-01 ranks 12th on TU’s single-season chart . . . a two-time all-WAC performer in singles. FALL OF 2001 – Completed the fall with a 5-4 singles record and an 8-2 doubles mark . . . with doubles partner Shri Sudhakara, won five straight matches en route to the Region V Doubles Championship . . . the duo won their first eight doubles contests, including a 7-0 win over Oklahoma State’s 45th-ranked tandem. JUNIOR (2000-01) – Finished second on the team in singles wins with a 23-10 overall record, posted a 19-5 dual mark in singles and teamed with Sudhakara to post a 16-12 doubles record and was 17-12 overall in doubles . . . became just the third player in the history of the TU men’s tennis program to play in the modern format of the NCAA Men’s Singles Championships . . . was ranked for 12 weeks among the nation’s top-100 singles player . . . reached his highest ranking of his career at No. 39 the week of March 7 . . . was named to the all-WAC singles and doubles first team . . . was a two-time WAC Player of the Week selection . . . with Sudhakara, was nationally ranked most of the season, including as high as No. 27 . . . began the spring with an 11-match win streak . . . completed the fall season with a 4-4 singles record and a 2-3 doubles mark . . . won four straight singles matches during the fall including a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, victory over #53 Petr Koula of TCU at the Hurricane Invitational. SOPHOMORE (1999-2000) – Was named to the all-WAC second team in singles after leading the Hurricane in victories with a 19-14 record . . . was 11-6 at the No. 2 singles position . . . was 13-16 in doubles with partner Steve Timperley at the second doubles spot . . . won six out of his last eight singles matches to conclude the season . . . completed his first fall campaign with a 7-5 singles record and was 4-3 in doubles with Timperley . . . defeated Texas Tech’s 51st-ranked Borut Martincevic, 6-1, 6-4, at the Hurricane Invitational . . . the win was his first against a nationally-ranked opponent . . . won four singles contests at the 1999 All-American Championships. FRESHMAN (1998-99) – Finished the spring with a 6-5 singles record and was ranked 21st in Region V . . . teamed with brother, Joel, at the No. 2 doubles spot and recorded an 8-2 mark . . . was ranked eighth in Region V in doubles. PERSONAL – Majoring in management . . . the younger brother of former Hurricane standout Joel McGregor . . . one of two children of Colin and Janice McGregor . . . born January 9, 1980.
