TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis team bounced back with a 4-2 win over Washington on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

No. 42 Washington (2-4) won the first doubles match 6-3 at the No. 2 doubles position, but No. 30 Golden Hurricane (5-3) won the doubles point with wins from Clifford Marsland/Dylan McCloskey 6-4 at the No. 1 doubles position and from Matthew Kirby/Daniel Santos 6-5 at the No. 3 doubles position.

Marsland increased TU's lead to 2-0 after winning at the No. 2 singles position with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Gal Hakak, while Alejandro Espejo won at the No. 4 singles position with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Viktor Farkas to give TU a 3-0 lead.

No. 71 Carlos Bautista scored the fourth point with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the No. 3 singles position over Emmett Egger to give TU a 4-0 lead, but Washington won the next two matches at the No. 5 singles position and at the No. 6 singles position.

The lost snapped a three-match losing streak for the Golden Hurricane and improves its home record to 5-1 this season.

The Golden Hurricane faces No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Volunteers has two singles players ranked, No. 16 Hunter Reese and No. 34 Mikelis Libietis, and has two doubles teams ranked, No. 1 Libietis and Reese and No. 28 Jarryd Chaplin and Bradon Fickey.
