Tulsa Men's Tennis Team Posts Huge 4-3 Upset Over 23rd-Ranked TCU

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa's 55th-ranked men's tennis team posted a 4-3 upset over 23rd-ranked TCU on Saturday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. The Golden Hurricane owns a 9-3 mark this season.
Tulsa's 57th-ranked sophomore Arnau Brugues tallied a 6-4, 6-1 win over Andrei Mlendea in the No. 1 singles position, but the Horned Frogs' 76th-ranked Rafael Abreu notched a 6-1, 6-4 victory over junior Federico Soriano in the No. 2 slot. The Golden Hurricane's 85th-ranked sophomore Ricardo Soriano also dropped his match in the No. 3 position, 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-2.
Sophomore Will Gray captured a 7-5, 6-1 victory in the No. 4 slot, while senior Diego Camacho registered a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 5 position. TU sophomore, 93rd-ranked Andy Connelly, claimed a 7-6 (9), 6-2 mark in the No. 6 slot.
Tulsa had a rough day in doubles action, falling in all three positions.
The Golden Hurricane will take on Arkansas on Wednesday, March 8th beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
