TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa fell to South Florida 6-1 on Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

No. 25 USF (13-5) won the doubles point over No. 39 Tulsa (10-10). The Bulls won at the No. 1 position, but TU tied the doubles point after senior Japie De Klerk and junior Alejandro Espejo's 8-6 win at the No. 2 position.

With the score tied at seven, USF doubles team of Vadym Kalyuzhnyy and Finn Meinecke won 7-5 in the tie-breaker to win the set 8-7 over freshman Daniel Santos and sophomore Carlos Bautista.

USF took a 2-0 lead after a win at the No. 5 singles position, but Espejo's 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 3 singles position cut the Bulls lead to 2-1.

The Bulls won at the No. 6 singles position for a 3-1 lead and clinched the match at the No. 1 singles position after No. 53 Robert Cid defeated No. 84 Clifford Marsland 6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-2.

USF won the final two matches at the No. 4 and No. 2 singles position.

The Golden Hurricane hosts No. 5 Oklahoma on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center before traveling to Columbus, Ohio to face No. 1 Ohio State on Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m.
