Kirby and Gordon advance to the Second Round of the Saint Francis ITA All-American

TULSA, Okla. - Two University of Tulsa's men's tennis players advanced into the second round of the pre-qualify round at the Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships on Saturday.
Matthew Kirby defeated Mississippi's Vinod Gowda 6-0, 6-4 in the first round. Kirby faces Penn State's Marc Collado Castells in the second round on Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Chase Gordon received a bye in the first round and plays University of Nevada's Andrew Poustie on Sunday at 9 a.m. at Cascia Hall.
Because of the rain on Saturday morning, only the first round was played of the pre-qualify round. The second and third round of the pre-qualify round will be on Sunday, while the pre-qualify finishes up on Monday and the start of the qualify round begins later on Monday.
