Espejo Moves On To Third Round Of Qualifying At ITA All-Americans

TULSA, Okla. - Sophomore Alejandro Espejo won his first match during the qualifying singles round at the ITA Men's All-American Championships on Tuesday, October 2 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Espejo defeated David Holiner of Texas 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-0 to snare his second victory of the tournament. He will face No. 76 ranked Raphael Hemmeler of Duke tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. In doubles qualifying, Espejo teamed up with junior Japie De Klerk where the duo lost a 8-4 decision to Brett Clark and William Parker of North Carolina. In addition to the third round of singles qualifying, the third and fourth rounds of doubles qualifying take place tomorrow. Admission to the ITA All-American Championship is free.
