Charlottesville, Va. - Arnau Brugues lost to Ohio State's seventh-ranked Justin Kronauge, 6-4, 6-2, in the Main Draw singles semifinals on Saturday at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Charlottesville, Va. Brugues and doubles partner Philip Stephens also dropped their Main Draw doubles semifinals match to top-seeded Steve Forman and Gary Parr of Wake Forest, 7-6(3), 6-2.

The No.6-ranked Brugues finished the tournament with a 3-1 singles record, with all matches coming against nationally-ranked opponents. The three-time All-American finishes the fall season with a sparkling 16-3 singles record, including a 9-3 mark against ranked opponents.

Stephens and Brugues had a great fall season in doubles as well, earning a 6-2 record with five victories coming over nationally-ranked opponents. The duo's only losses came against ninth-ranked Jonas Berg and Bram ten Berg of Mississippi in the D'Novo All-American Doubles Championship match, and Saturday's loss to Wake Forest's second-ranked Steve Forman and Gary Parr.

The ITA National Indoor Championships conclude tomorrow with finals in both singles and doubles.
