TU Dominates Doubles in Hawaii

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa showed why it has one of the best doubles lineups in the country by picking up three wins from Hawaii. Tulsa looked strong in doubles play, with Diego Camacho and Ross Cunningham notching an 8-5 victory over Hawaii's Andreas Weber and Matt Seeberger. Arnau Brugues and Federico Soriano had a tougher match, but still downed Jeff Fitch and Sascha Heinemenn, also from Hawaii, 9-7. Andy Connely and Lucques Maasdorp completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win against Hawaii's Chad Faulk and Derrick Lajola. In singles play, Tulsa picked up its only win when Cunningham took a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Faulk. Camacho dropped a tight, three-set match to Seeberger, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, while Maasdorp also took his match to three sets before falling to Fitch, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4. Will Gray lost to Heinemann by a 6-2, 6-2 decision, while Federico Soriano dropped his match to Weber, 6-3, 6-1. Connelly rounded out the TU scores, dropping his match to Lajola 6-3, 6-3.. The TU men's tennis team will next be in action on January 12 when they host Lamar at noon and Prairie View A&M at 8 p.m. to kick off the spring season. Singles Doubles
