No. 23-Ranked Tulsa Men's Tennis Faces No. 39-Ranked California

Tulsa, Okla. - The No. 23-ranked University of Tulsa's men's tennis team will play its third match of 2008 spring season with a tough match at 6 pm against no. 39-Ranked California on Saturday, January 19 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Golden Hurricane will try to continue its good start. On the opening weekend, Tulsa defeated Arkansas-Little Rock, 6-1, and Lamar, 7-0
Stanford brings in four ranked singles players, including no. 2-ranked Alex Clayton, no. 41 Ted Kelly, no. 75 Richard Wire and no. 96 Matt Bruch.
TU, the highest ranked team in Conference USA in the rankings has one individual and two doubles teams ranked. Senior Ricardo Soriano is ranked 44th, while Senior Andy Connelly and junior Ross Cunningham are ranked 5th and junior Arnau Brugues and Soriano are ranked 15th in doubles.
Next weekend Tulsa will face two ranked opponents, no. 42-Stanford on Friday and no. 2-ranked Georgia on Sunday. Stanford has 17 team national championships, the most of any institution, while Georgia is the defending national champion.
