MARIETTA, Ga. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis team made an appearance in the top-25 recruiting class for the 2014-15 season by the Tennis Recruiting Network and Solfire for the first time.

The Golden Hurricane received 173 points and placed 19th in the poll with the signing of Spencer Papa last fall.

Papa gets a Blue Chip ranking from Tennisrecuriting.net and has been widely considered the No. 1 tennis recruit in the nation.

The Edmond, Okla., native is rated by the International Tennis Federation as the seventh-ranked U.S. player and is No. 56 in the World for the Under-18 age group, while his season-best World Juniors Ranking has been 15th by the ITF.

The Golden Hurricane finishes its three-match homestand this weekend against No. 42 Washington (2-3) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., followed by No. 6 Tennessee (6-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
