TU Men's Tennis to Host #21 Washington This Friday

Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The 40th-ranked TU men's tennis team will host the 21st-ranked Washington Huskies at 7:00 p.m. this Friday at the Tulsa Southern Tennis Club (91st & Delaware). Admission to the event is free.

Tulsa (2-0) will not only look to remain undefeated this season, but faces its first nationally ranked opponent in the Huskies. The Hurricane began the season a week ago with back-to-back victories over Texas-San Antonio and Oral Roberts.

Washington, 3-1 this season, captured three straight contests to open the season, but fell to top-ranked Stanford, 4-3, in its most recent outing. The Tulsa match marks the first road contest of the season for the Huskies.
