TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis team travels to Minneapolis, Minn., to face two ranked opponents this weekend.

No. 34 Golden Hurricane faces host No. 39 Minnesota at 6 p.m. on Friday and faces No. 25 Harvard on Sunday at noon.

Under head coach Vince Westbrook, the Hurricane has posted a 2-1 record against the Gophers and a 1-3 record against Crimson.

Minnesota has one doubles team ranked, Mathieu Froment and Jack Hamburg at No. 47.

Harvard has two singles players ranked Denis Nguyen at No. 44 and Sebastian Beltrame at No. 81 and has two doubles team ranked Nguyen and Casey MacMaster at No. 17 and Brian Yeung and Nicky Hu at No. 48.

Junior Alejandro Espejo, who was named Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, led TU last week going 3-0 in singles at the No. 4 position and 2-1 in doubles at the No. 2 position with Japie De Klerk. The duo defeated UT's doubles team of No. 28 Jarryd Chaplin and Brandon Fickey 6-1 on Sunday.

This season, TU has won all three spring C-USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week and has lost three doubles point in nine matches.

The Golden Hurricane returns home for a four-match homestand starting with Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. and Michigan State on Sunday, Feb. 16 at noon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
