Tulsa's Will Gray named Conference USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis player, senior Will Gray was named C-USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor for his excellent play the past week. This is his second career C-USA Tennis Player of the Week honor.

Gray, a TU co-captain, picked up two crucial victories in Tulsa's two road victories last weekend. Gray beat Chris Nott, 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 3 position, clinching the match for the Golden Hurricane in its 4-3 victory over central region rival Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.

The senior then picked up TU's third point at No. 4 in its road victory over 39th-ranked Auburn in Auburn, Ala., defeating Pawel Dilaj, 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 4 position. Gray is 6-4 on the season in dual matches, playing at positions No. 3-5.
