Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's Federico Soriano has been selected as the Conference USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week after registering wins in both singles and doubles en route to a 6-1 win over nationally-ranked Arkansas.

Soriano helped lead No. 24 Tulsa to a 6-1 defeat of No. 59 Arkansas last Thursday. The senior picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over the Razorback's Andrei Nicoara at the number two position. His win staked TU to a 2-0 lead. In doubles, he paired with Arnau Brugues to collect and 8-0 win over Bradwin Williams and Blake Strode at the number one spot. Soriano and Brugues are currently the No. 12 ranked doubles team in the country. Tulsa is now 6-2 this spring. The weekly honor is the first for Soriano in C-USA.

The Golden Hurricane will next be in action on February 24 when it hosts Auburn at 6 p.m. in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
