Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa sophomore-transfer Arnau Brugues has been named the Conference USA men's tennis Player of the Week for the week of February 12-18, as announced by the conference office. Brugues was previously named the conference Player of the Week on February 7th.

Last week, Brugues posted an impressive, 6-2, 6-1, upset victory over Texas A&M's 16th-ranked Jerry Makowski in the No. 1 singles position. Brugues nets a 5-0 mark this season, with all of his matches played at the top singles slot.

In doubles action, Brugues teamed with sophomore Andy Connelly, but the Golden Hurricane duo dropped a hard-fought match, 8-4, to the Aggies' 14th-ranked Brett Joelson and Bryan Wooten. The TU tandem own a 5-2 mark this spring.
