No. 33 Tulsa Men's Tennis Hosts Indiana and Auburn this Weekend

TULSA, Okla. - The 33rd-ranked Tulsa men's tennis team is back in action this weekend after taking the last two weeks off when they host No. 48 Indiana at 6:00 p.m. Friday, and No. 35 Auburn at Noon Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Hurricane enters the weekend with a 7-3 record, including a 3-3 mark against nationally-ranked opponents.
Sophomore Ashley Watling has been Tulsa's most consistent player in both the singles and doubles lineups this season. He is currently the 32nd-ranked singles player in the nation with a 12-6 record, including a 5-2 record against nationally-ranked opposition.
Watling has teamed up with senior Philip Stephens to form TU's top doubles team. The tandem is currently ranked No. 44 in the nation with an 11-6 record, including a 6-2 record in the No. 1 doubles position during the duel campaign.
No. 48 Indiana (4-1) comes in riding a three-match winning streak, which includes a convincing 6-1 win over Harvard in its last match on Feb. 21st. The Hoosiers have had great balance in their lineup this season with multiple players off to nice starts.
Freshman Josh MacTaggart leads the team with a 19-5 singles record, including a 4-1 mark during the duel season while playing primarily No. 3 singles. Junior Santiago Gruter is 14-5 on the year with a 3-2 record in the No. 1 singles position, and sophomore Jeremy Langer owns a 12-5 overall singles record with a perfect 4-0 mark in No. 2 singles.
No. 35 Auburn (3-3) has won three out of its last four matches, including a 6-1 win over Southern Miss on Feb. 20th. The Tigers are led by 25th-ranked junior Tim Puetz who owns an 18-4 singles record and a perfect 7-0 mark during the duel season. Puetz has partnered with sophomore Alexander Stamchev to form the No. 1-ranked doubles team in the nation with an incredible 16-2 record, including a 5-0 record during the duel season.
