TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa men and women's tennis teams each earned berths into the NCAA Championships as announced today by the NCAA Division I Subcommittees. The 32nd-ranked women's team will play North Texas in the first round in Waco, Texas, and the 40th-ranked men's team will play rival 20th-ranked Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.

This is the fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth overall for the women's team, and the fifth-straight NCAA appearance and 12th overall for the men's program.

The 32nd-ranked women's squad will play North Texas in the first round on Friday, May 14 at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. The tournament's No. 1-overall seed Baylor faces Northwestern State in the other first round match.

The Golden Hurricane is coming off its third Conference USA Championship in four seasons and enters the match with a 21-5 record. North Texas comes in with a 17-6 record after earning the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid.

The two teams faced off earlier this season at the Case Tennis Center with Tulsa winning by a 7-0 margin.

The 40th-ranked men's team faces 20th-ranked Oklahoma in the first round on Friday, May 14 at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. Texas Tech, the tournament's No. 14 overall seed, will play Wichita State in the other first round match up.

The Hurricane (16-10) and Sooners (16-7) played each other earlier this season at the Case Tennis Center with the Sooners picking up a narrow 4-3 victory.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships selections will be announced tomorrow afternoon on www.ncaa.com.
