TULSA, Okla. - The first day of the Tulsa Pro Classic proved to be an exciting one, as the University of Tulsa incoming freshman Spencer Papa completed the upset over fifth-seeded Jeff Dadamo 6-7(4), 6-2, 7-5, Tuesday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Papa, the 18-year old Blue Chip Tennis juniors player, topped the former Texas A&M athlete Dadamo, to advance to the second round of the tournament. He will be matched up against Dane Webb, on Thursday. The match time will be announced later.

Webb, a senior at Oklahoma, took care of his first-round opponent, Christopher Grant, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.

Tulsa's Or Ram-Harel and Dylan McCloskey saw their respective doubles tournaments come to an end on Tuesday. Ram-Harel and doubles teammate Ghandi Bhakthavachalam fell to the duo of Jacob Herndon and Manfred Jeske in a tightly-contested match, 6-1, 6-7(3) [10-5]. The first round of the singles tournament concludes Wednesday, as Ram-Harel will begin his singles play against Szabo on court four at 11 a.m. The quarterfinal round of the doubles tournament will also be played Wednesday.
