TU's Or Ram-Harel Advances to the Second Round of the Tulsa Pro Classic

TULSA, Okla. - Day two of the Tulsa Pro Classic came to a close, seeing The University of Tulsa's Or Ram-Harel advance to the second round of the singles tournament. Ram-Harel advances to the second round, after taking down Jordan Szabo, 7-6(2), 7-5, Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Ram-Harel now joins teammate Spencer Papa in Thursday's second round of the classic.
With Wednesday's win, Ram-Harel will take on the fourth-seeded Andrew Harris tomorrow at 11 a.m., on court two at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Harris won his first-round matchup over Danny Amiri, 6-3, 6-1, yesterday.
Papa, who won his opening-round match, 6-7(4), 6-2, 7-5, over the fifth-seeded Jeff Dadamo yesterday, will play Dane Webb, a senior from Oklahoma, at 11 a.m. on court one, tomorrow. Webb took down Christopher Grant, 6-4, 6-1, in his opening-round match, Tuesday.
All the seeded players moved on today, including the top-seeded Liam Broady, who advanced in both singles and doubles play. In his first-round singles match, Broady topped Dominic Cotrone in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Later in the afternoon, Broady and his doubles partner Luke Bambridge escaped out of the quarterfinals, winning 6-3, 6-7(3), [10-5], over Brett Clark and Ronnie Schneider.
With the second round of singles and the semifinals of the doubles tournament set, the entirety of each round will be played Thursday. The singles matches will be played in the morning starting at 10 a.m., while doubles play will round up the day, with the first semifinal starting at 1 p.m.
