Men's Tennis Travels To Texas For HEB Invitational

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa men's tennis team, after competing at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational last weekend, will take its talents to Waco, Texas to compete in the HEB Invitational hosted by Baylor University. The tournament, held at the Hurd Tennis Center, will consist of a 64-player singles draw and a 32-team doubles bracket. Action will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday. Fourteen schools will be represented in this year's tournament, including Tulsa, host Baylor, DePaul, Idaho Laredo Community College, Louisiana-Lafayette, Midwestern State, Rice, Southern Miss, Tennessee, UT-Arlington, UT-Pan American, UT-San Antonio and Virginia Tech. Draws for the tournament will be released tonight, and a recap will be posted to TulsaHurricane.com following each day of action. Tulsa opened its fall campaign last weekend at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational, where the senior duo of Grant Ive and Tristan Jackson, who were the No. 1 seed in the tournament, advanced to the semifinals in the doubles competition.
