Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis hosts the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championship, Sept. 29-Oct. 7, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. Pre-qualifying begins Saturday, September 29, qualifying starts Monday, Oct. 1 and the main draw begins Thursday, October 4. Admission is free to the entire tournament.

The tournament will feature the top men's players in the nation, including Tulsa's own and defending champion Arnau Brugues, who is currently ranked third in the ITA National Preseason Rankings. Also in action for TU is # 47 Ricardo Soriano, doubles pairs # 40 Ross Cunningham/Andy Connelly and # 51 Ricardo Soriano/Arnau Brugues.

The singles field will also feature Virginia's Somdev Devvarman, the 2007 NCAA singles champion and the current # 1 player by the ITA, as well as all of the top-five players in the ITA preseason rankings. The doubles field will include the top-five in the ITA preseason rankings as well, led by Illinois' Ryan Rowe and Brandon Davis. Rowe was one half of the 2006 NCAA Doubles Champions.

The Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championships will include 46 participants and 23 doubles pairs in the main draw and 110 participants and 63 doubles pairs in the qualifying draw.

Past participants include current professional stars such as recent 2007 US Open participants James Blake (in 1998 as a sophomore at Harvard) and John Isner (2005 Polo All-American Champion and 2006 runner-up, while at Georgia) and Bob and Mike Bryan (in 1997 as sophomores at Stanford), the world's top-ranked doubles team.

The Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championship is a fall season preview of the 2008 NCAA Tennis Championships, which will also be played at Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center, May 15-26.
